Former
Central Bank Governor, the economic hitman Ajith Nivard Cabraal was released on
a surety of Rs. 10 million when the case was taken up for hearing today. He has
been released from a case filed on the Breach of Trust.
A case was
filed against Cabraal on the Breach of Trust by Chief Prelate of Nugegoda
Nalandaramaya Venerable thiniyawala Palitha Thero.
In April
2021, the Thero had filed a fundamental rights petition in the Supreme Court
against Cabraal for allegedly embezzling more than Rs. 23 billion.
Cabral Should
be brought before the law for driving
the nation into such a devastating economic crisis. He entered the parliament by the national
list and supported economic hitman Basil Rajapaksa’s parliament entry. Money printing
and delaying negotiations with the international monetary fund (IMF) are major
crimes of Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
