Tragedy struck in the Paathagama area in the Midigama Police
Division last night (11), as a 24-year-old youth lost his life after being
attacked with a sharp object.
According to the Police, the victim was a resident of Ahangama, Midigama. The cause of the murder is yet to be determined, but the Police revealed that investigations have uncovered the involvement of a group of individuals in the attack.
The Magisterial inquiry into the incident is expected to take place today (12), while the Midigama Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
The incident has shocked the local community, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigations. The victim's family and friends are still coming to terms with the sudden loss of their loved one and are calling for justice to be served.
